La Magnolia - Península Sorrentina

Very good location just off the main square of Sorrento. Room was not very big, but nice and clean, with aircon, small tv and fridge.

Our aircon was apparently preset to operate at lowest possible speed, which was not sufficient to cool the room down during daytime.

I loved the little details such as the wooden inlays in the door and bed frame, the cleanliness and hospitality, but most of all the great location for a great price. This hidden gem is a great value! We loved everything about it, including our free upgrade because of the Icelandic volcano.

Just a suggestion, maybe make the breakfast hours longer, like from 7-10.

La Magnolia was very central, very clean with excellent friendly service. Carlo upgraded our room at no extra cost and the room was very very spacious.

The breakfast was not very good value and if it rains, you have to eat breakfast in your room as there is only a very small outside area in which to eat which is not covered.

Very good central location within easy walking distance of the train and bus station. Nice outside seating area which caught the morning sun. Nice garden with lemon trees. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but went to a large cafe near the station only to find that Carlo, owner of La Magnolia, also owns the cafe. Cannot remember its name. Something like Kontikki. We were able to leave our luggage there after checking out, and then pick it up when we were catching the bus to our next destination later in the day. This was a great help.

The hotel is small with a very restricted reception area and no other sitting area. A kettle so you can make a hot drink in the room would have been nice.

The hotel is very comfortable. The location is great. The service very good and friendly. But during our stay all day late at night there was someone walking in high heels and did a lot of noise. It seemed that the person coming in and out of the room several times during the night, so we could not sleep well.

Be aware that there is no one on site all the time. The owner/manager is available by phone. Overall I felt like the owner/management tried to be helpful but his communication style left us feeling negative about our stay there. We had told him on the day of check-in that we would be leaving early (745am) on the day of our check-out 2 days later. We had planned to pay on check-in but his credit card approval system was not working so he requested payment in cash. We saw him only once the next day and we had not obtained the cash as yet. On the day of checkout no one was present at the time we needed to leave so we called him. He was very upset with us saying we had not told him we would be checking out early (we had) and that we should have paid him the day before. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for him to come so we could pay him. Not the best customer service. Other than this the hotel itself was very nice.

Arrived at the hotel at 5.30pm and there was nobody to let us in. The documents you sent me showed that reception would be open until 6pm.Luckily there was a phone number on the door and we managed to get hold of the owner who finally arrived to let us in but was initially fairly ungratious, saying that he had been trying to emial and phone us. Subsequently I have found that he did do this but used our home phone number when we had already been in Italy for a week.I suggest you speak to him regarding arrival times and alter your documentation accordingly.

We loved how close we were to the center of Sorrento. Walking to/from the train station, shops and restaurants was a breeze! A nice breakfast was available every morning for a small price. Carlo and his wife were friendly and very accomodating.

The room was comfortable and th breakfast was excellent. Our host was extremely helpful and catered to our request for an early breakfast as we had to catch the train.

Many doors and locks to negotiate (4 keys!), so very secure.

The location was quite good. The terrace inside the entrance was very pleasant. We had takeaway pizza one night and the owner gave us some plates and cutlery as we dined on the terrace.

Be aware that the room image on the Booked.net website was not exactly the same as the one we booked. Our room did not have a window. Instead it had an opening skylight. When we queried the owner about this, he offered another room with a window, but said we would have to move back to the original room on the last night. We decided just to stay in the original room to save unnecessary moves. He did not offer any discount. At least we were woken up early each morning with the early sun through the skylight!

Nice B&B with clean room. Air conditioning is good and bathroom is large. Owner Carlo is nice.

Wifi signal is poor on 2nd floor and the breakfast is too simple which is not justified.

The safe box does'nt works. Only one key complect for 2 peoples living in one room (but we don't ask the second).

Located in the heart of Sorrento near the beach and railway station.This is a small family-run hotel. Hotel manager speak English very well . Overall, the hotel staff tried everything to be perfect. это небольшой уютный семейный отель. менеджер отеля отлично говорит по английски. в целом персонал отеля старался, чтобы все было отлично.

Everyone should know that the standard rooms are small with a window on the ceiling. Price per standard room does not match the quality of this hotel.всем следует знать, что стандартные номера маленькие с окном на потолке. цена за стандартный номер не соответствует качеству этого отеля.

Great location (literally 50metres from Sorrento main square and main restaurants and shops) for this small hotel. Carlo, the manager will go our of his way to help. Lower floors can be a bit noisy on weekend nights

- no reception - we had to telephone the owner to come and make the check in; Breakfast was served only after 8.
